My 2017 Summer Favorites

Yesterday was my last day of summer and I am officially back at school for the new school year. Here's a few of the things that were my favorite this summer!

Clothes
Chino shorts- My whole summer is spent in chinos! I love all the different ways you can style them and how they can be dressed up or down depending on the shirt and shoes you wear with them and I love that you can move around all day and be comfortable in them.
JLB Brake For Cake tee- I was sent this shirt in my Jadelynn Brooke rep box earlier this year and I seriously wear it all the time. The shirt is a heathered blue and the design on the back is in cute pastel colors.

Shoes
Jack Rogers- You all know how much I love my Jacks (and you can tell from the picture that they are worn often) and they go with everything and they are such an easy way to dress up an outfit.
Birkenstocks- If you have any sort of foot problem, Birks are for you! Most of my days have been spent in these because they are the most comfortable shoe I have at the moment and you can just slip them on and go.
Makeup
Burt's Bees Chapstick- This summer I haven't worn much makeup just because I don't like wearing it but this chapstick has saved me especially when I took my trip to Colorado and my lips were so dry.

Jewelry
Three pearl necklace- I made this necklace when summer started and I love it. It's perfect for outfits that are too casual to wear my other pearls with.
Pink Tassel Necklace- I found this necklace at a local boutique and it reminded me of one of the Kendra Scott style necklaces and it was so inexpensive and looks great with so many different things!

Music
Winshape playlist- Winshape is a church camp that travels the country and I volunteered this summer with Winshape and had a great time and their playlist is so fun!
Taylor Swift playlist- Brooke Miccio has a Taylor Swift playlist on Spotify that I have been jamming to a lot lately and I love it!

So those are a few of my favorite things from this summer! You can use my code SLMHS to get the Jadelynn Brooke items I featured in this post for 15% off.

Luv Ya!

My 21st Birthday + XOXO Dining Room Review

Last month I celebrated my 21st birthday at one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas! If I were a restaurant, I'd definitely be XOXO Dining Room. From the pink building, to the picture-worthy garden, to the DJ's music selection, it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my 21st.

5 Audrey Hepburn Movies Free to Watch With Amazon Prime

It rained the entire Memorial Day Weekend here so I spent the long weekend watching movies. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress so I spent the weekend binge watching classic movies starring Audrey. I came across five of her movies on Amazon that are free to watch with Prime and thought I would share in case you're in need of a rainy day movie too.

Trend Tracking: Western T Shirts

Western and country style has been emerging more within the trendy side of the fashion world recently. Being from Texas, I think it's kind of fun.  Along with bright colored cowboy boots and cow print, you can find many popular fashion influencers wearing western-inspired graphic tees. Today I have rounded up some of my favorites that are all under $40.   YeeHaw T Shirt Wrangler T Shirt //  Cowboy T Shirt //  Cowgirl T Shirt //  Stay Wild T Shirt //  Let's Go Girls T Shirt //  Wild West T Shirt Shilo

Two Ways to Style Lilly Pulitzer During Winter

As you can probably guess I love Lilly Pulitzer. The bright fun prints are my favorite but they aren't quite suitable for winter. I would wear my Lilly shift dress everyday if I could but when it's 40 degrees outside a shift dress isn't weather appropriate. I came up with two ways to wear your Lilly during winter without freezing or looking out of place in your bright clothes.

A Look Inspired by Lonestar Southern

Putting together outfits has been a struggle recently. I have found myself many mornings standing in my closet just staring at my clothes. The other day I was scrolling through Kate from LonestarSouthern.com 's Instagram feed and saw that she had put together the cutest look with a ruffle sleeve top, jeans, and flats. I had all of those items in my closet so I decided to recreate her look. It was so easy to do and I had never thought of styling these pieces together.
